I've heard it said many times that you should never eat in Rome where the where the tourist attractions are. To a certain extent I can attest to that, with the Roma Beer Company being at least a little bit true on that count, yet at the same time there are exceptions to the rule (I won't give away all my secrets). So, let me both sell you on this and warn you about it at the same time.
PROS: It's in the Campo dè Fiori and you'll want to visit there to see the market, visit the Antica Norcineria Viola for some snacks, and stop at Johnny's Off-License for some bottles to enjoy while in your room. Because you're already there you might as well stop for a beer, and if the weather is nice and it's not too crowded you can sit outside and enjoy some people watching ~ the tables beneath the umbrellas are pretty nice unless it's really hot (I never visit Rome in the summer and it can still be hot in spring or fall). The prices for the beers are not bad and they have an OK selection: 8 draft (I think all Italian), 31 Italian bottles, 12 Belgian, 10 German, 2 English, 3 American, 2 from Holland, 3 Irish, 3 Scottish, and 2 Gluten free if needed. Subject to change of course.
CONS: The beer selections is OK. You should be able to find something that you've never had before from Italy, and their craft breweries are improving so there's that, but you won't find any of the really good stuff - go to Johnny's Off-License for that. The food is OK (which really means not worth it). If you're a person who doesn't do well in crowds, or doesn't enjoy people watching, then sitting outside is probably not for you, and going inside is not going to thrill you.
My conclusion then is that if you have the time and inclination it's there for you. If you're pressed for time don't bother.
