44cl can, 6m old.
Cherry shade of pink head and lace, possessing surprising longevity.
Light cherry colour mixed with somewhat diluted blueberry juice, opaque.
Drive-by brings a strong association of sweetened blueberry/cherry yoghurt at a hotel buffet breakfast. Closer acquaintance brings forth the expected lactic tang. Some blackcurrant aroma.
Taste is a letdown. No body, which is not a sin in itself for a weisse, except the lactic silkiness is missing. The taste is dry and slightly astringent on one's tongue. No berry or fruit. Somewhat unpleasant faint bitterness on the sides of the tongue. No flavour to speak of. Watery. The bitterness actually reminds me of blueberry skin or raw blueberry. Tannins, that's what it is. Too sharp and simple, yet timid.
Begins well, falls flat on its face. Unusually steep drop from looks to taste.
