16oz. can into a Founders snifter. Shared with schen9303.
Pours a touch thin. Pitch black, spotty lace, thin legs, huge legs. Nose is smoke, roasted malt, liquorice, booze, brownie, and lactose. Booze is prominent. Aromatic and dense. Beer opens roasted malt, smoke, liquorice, ash, and sweet soy sauce. This is a pretty traditional RIS flavor profile. A light tartness from the roast in the middle mixed with cocoa powder, and bitter chocolate. More liquorice and sweet soy sauce towards the finish. Body is full low carbonation. Chewy on the palate and boozy and sticky going down. Long, lingering aftertaste. This one is somehow thin and full bodied at the same time.
