Had on tap at the brewery. Pours clear, copper in color with minimal head. Taste is leather,toasted malt and nut. Light bodied, moderate carbonation,slightly sweet. Nice brown ale.

A: crystal clear; deep amber in color; 1 finger finely pored light tan head that receded to a moderate tight collar; OK lacing;
S: slightly sweet toast with a hint of lemon;
T: slightly sweet toast through the middle; some dark fruit toward the finish; mild to moderate bitterness at the end;
M: light to medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish; soft;
O: lighter in color and body than I expected; not as roasty as I expected; having said that , it was quite enjoyable;

Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can poured into my snifter. Picked up the can for the online brown ale tasting event. Date stamped 0122241, not sure what that means.
the beer pours a rich clear caramel color with some ruby highlights on the edges. A creamy beige foam of 3 cm foams up and fades to a sturdy surface layer during the sampling.
Aroma is caramel, bready malts and some grain. Maybe a hint of brown sugar too. Not too much in the way of balancing hops on the nose. hints of grass buried under the malt.
First sip reveals a medium to light body with gentle rolling carbonation. Beer texture is smooth and drinks easy.
Flavor is what I expect based on the nose. Caramel and again bready grainy notes. multigrain sorta bread flavor. a little sweetness and then here I get hints of grass or pine on the finish, but mild. The glass is empty quickly and I enjoy drinking this one. Glad to have tried this can as my first beer from Norbrook.
