Part of a flight sampled at the brewery, straight from the keg into a 5 ounce tasting glass. Body of the beer is opaque apricot in color, with a white head that provided excellent lacing as the beer is consumed. Citrusy aroma, with grapefruit and plums coming thru on the nose. The first sip was citrusy, juicy as a NE IPA should be, with the hops bitterness from the combination of Amarillo, Centennial and Simcoe hops kicking in to clean up the palate. 'Scorcha', which is New England vernacular for 'scorcher' is a 'wicked' good IPA!
