Copenhagen 23/12 2020. 50 cl bottle from Mikkeller Battleship, Torvehallerne, Kbh. K. What looks like Kabbalistic drawings including a sprouting plant and some corn ears omg the label.

Pours unclear murky golden orange with a mid-sized white head. settles as thin patchy layer of foam unable to cover the durance of the beer. No lacing.

Aroma is medium intense with a light sweet malty odor mingling with stronger funky and citric notes. Earthy yeasty smell, cheese, tart gooseberries, citrus, green apples.

Light carbonation. Thin, oily, soft, almost flt texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a light sweetness followed by a stronger tart sourness. Aftertaste is sour and lingers for a bit. Finish is dry and citric.

Nice, tart and funky Saison - without overdoing it.

Poured golden amber, transparent and lively. A semi hard pour produced a 2 cm nearly white head.
The aroma is mild for me, which is normal. I did get what I can only describe as crabapple.
The taste is complex, it’s sweet with honey and funky and tart and it all hits separately. Very enjoyable and quite refreshing.
The feel was excellent, just what I thought it should be, but that’s just a bit of good fortune on my part.
OA, really enjoyed this, thanks @snathaous!

This is a beautiful pouring beer, in the sunlight it was like liquid gold. In the glass it gets a little darker as the volume increases and a beautiful white head forms. Settles to some white islands and a ring of white microbubbles.

A very refreshing and pleasant aroma, slightly sweet sour, white grapes, mineral, and fresh baked lemon bars.

The taste is less sour than the nose let’s on, it’s much less mix fermented than you’d think. It has a clean taste to it with the lemon citrus showing last, also has a nice grassiness and slight malt taste to it.
As it warms I also notice a nice green apple note.

Light drinking, way lighter than the abv of 6.7%. Not too sour, just enough, subtle sweet sensation, and a lively carbonation on the tongue.

New beer from a new brewery sent to me by @snaotheus in Bif14

Brewer Notes: A blend of mature, barrel-aged beer and stainless fermented beer inoculated with coolship wort and keg conditioned with honey.

Chilled bottle poured into a Trillium lineage series tulip , golden yellow color , mini carbonation streams, craggy one finger white foam cap , settles to a foamy layer , scant lacings

Aroma is funky tartness, crisp crabapples

Taste is tart funkiness, hint of honey taste without being too sweet , white grape, taste is tart but not a hard bite

Low sudsing, tartness lingers

Good beer

Fourth Edition (2021), poured at fridge temp. Pours a gorgeous transparent orange with minimal head. Bubbles throughout. The nose is amazing. Honey, sour patch kids, oak, bread, and almost a peppery spice. Granny Smith apples and plums. Really nice.

The taste is interesting. It strikes a balance between sour and bitter/funky. I honestly expected a bit more sour and fruit, but there is a wet oak and leather taste that is equally dominant. Also picking up notes of papaya, honey, wool, pears, and a floral note. A bit of citrus peel on the aftertaste. Just a really interesting beer that really excites me. I love seeing these brewers work with spontaneous fermentation.

Mouthfeel is light and refreshing. Overall, a really excellent wild ale.

I am of a mixed opinion on this one. I found this one on Tavour and in its champagne style bottle with 750ml, my hopes were quite high. It wasn't what I expected, but it wasn't bad. I was expecting something "wild" as this is a wild ale, but I think mellow would be the proper description.

Poured into a pint glass, it was the color of white grape juice with 2 fingers of white frothy head that lasted up and down the sides as the brew went down my gullet.

Aroma was citrus and bright and I was expecting that I would find something tart in the glass, however...

The flavor was subtle with none of the sour/sweetness I was expecting from the nose. It was also not bitter. There was a hint of a honey flavor yet without the sweetness of honey which was interesting, unique and not unenjoyable...yet neither was it something I could imagine seeking out.

Feel was meh, not thick, not thin, nor bright...easy to drink and refreshing, but again, not special.

Overall, I wanted this to be something great and was let down, but I think my expectations got in the way.
