Described as "fruit ale conditioned with honey. And I've never encountered tayberries except in Skagit County. They are a mild-flavored sort of loganberry, and the combination with cherries is quite stylish. The cherry flavor and aroma lingers into the aftertaste.
The beer is a gorgeous rosé color with adequate foam in the Wander snifter. The aroma is fruity but not like any IPA, it's the orchard and berry patch. Flavor is actually a little sweet, and perhaps that's the honey. If so, every sour brewer should look into it as a way to soften the lactic attack.
This is one of the better sours I've had, with the fruit being well in evidence and the acidity not dominating the show. Quite drinkable and refreshing with a pleasant slushy carbonation on the tongue. This is the 2nd Edition, packaged 8/8/18, so it's been aging for two and a half years. From the 750 ml bottle.
