draught
Big white head. Medium light gold color. Fairly tart and slightly lemony, and a little touch of light toast hops, in the background. An easy tartness of a slight citrusy kind.

gorgeous bretty funky table beer here, foudre fermented, dry hopped, and just full of character and life. i love its super low abv, and i love even more that i found this on tap in idaho. obviously bittercreek gets some special beers, but this must mean they are sending some beer to the state, so hopefully more shows up around town. the head on this pale beauty rise an inch above the rim of the glass from the tap, and holds stiff like meringue, pure white and hardly fading at all. the nose pulls me right in, mature brett, a light lambic funk but no sourness really, soft oak tannins, lemongrass and green grapes from the hops, highly herbaceous and fresh to me, a little white wine, raw wheat, and dry cereal, its wild but in a subtle way, incredibly appealing. i get some berry layers in the taste, including tart little mountain blueberries and strawberries, along with the more predominant citrus from the dry hopping. maybe hallertau blanc there, but its hard to say, as its the fermentation profile that really leads the way here. the brett is well established, the acidity is low, and the wood aspect is patient and just right. i love this kind of beer, and this is a brilliant example of old and new world styles and processes combining into something quite special. its real dry, real distinctive, and drinkable all day long! airy in texture, but not watery or anything with the lower abv. i have loved all ive had from garden path so far, and will keep exploring their stuff at every opportunity! this is exceptionally good.
