this is wonderful beer, cool to score it on tap too. lovely deep flamingo pink to vibrant ruby red in color, fizzy white head maybe stained slightly pink, half an inch high and lasting, radiant. the nose is tangy and tart, tannic from the fruit, a bit of oak too, a red wine vibe, natural wine though with cool funk, peppy acidity, and highly aromatic spruce character, light cranberry and strawberry, red rose, white wine too, really delicate for what it is, very light on the grain side. the flavor rules, although way more blueberry than fir to it, i wanted more of that, but it does add some real distinct herbaceous character, notes of gin, lime, and christmas tree, while the berries are complimented very well. they hit juicy, with a pinot noir vibe, nice earthiness in the absence of much malt character, light strawberry vinegar, slate and even iron, and tight oak. awesome funkiness to this, lovely fermentation profile, and somehow this is all rather delicate, not too sour at all, almost refreshing to drink with the big bubbles. really impressive, cool combination of ingredients, professional execution, a memorable beer that seems right for spring. these beers arent cheap, but you pretty much always get what you pay for, loved this one!
