Lacking the belgian yeast character required for the style.

A solid offering in the Belgian Dubbel category. A little thin in body, but nice flavor.

Fair creamy dense head good retention, bit of lacing, mostly clear but dark mahogany almost chestnut color
Nose brings plenty of yeast notes, big perfumey phenols and little alcohol, potpourri and a weird floral rose water, strong malt character with s little roast and dark caramel, little molasses and candy sugar, as it warms more fruit like plum and cherry
Taste Belgian candy sugar and toffee biscuity, caramel molasses notes, with a touch of roast, light fruity esters especially as it warms again plum cherry raisin, light phenols with spice and a bit floral again, medium-light bitterness with little earthy hop, light perfumey alcohol, semi sweet finish
Mouth is med bod, medium light carb
Overall not bad, I feel like this is another one they are working on the recipe and seeing what the yeast does, as I feel it needs some tweaking, but it's getting there
