Enjoyed at the Marlborough Oktoberfest.
A - Poured into a plastic stein a nice hazy golden banana hue with a quarter inch head that fades to leave light wisps. Think this was more fault of the pourer than the beer itself.
S - Aromas of bright cloves, tons of creamy wheat. Nice spices as well. Smells like your typical Berliner Weisse.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with big creamy wheat. The cloves and banana are much more subtle. There's something on the finish I don't care for though....Almost burnt plastic like. That combined with the minimal banana and clove, yah, lackluster.
M - Mouthfeel is almost aggressively carbonated, really bright, not creamy like one would expect.
O - Overall this was a rather disappointing beer. It's like they tried to merge a Berliner and a hefe and the result is a mess. Embrace one or the other, either go lactic or creamy wheat banana clove. Really dissapointing.
