Draft at the brewery
Medium creamy head with med retention, fair lacing, very clear dark ruby mahogany color
Nose nice roasty and toasted malts, light overall roast, just enough, biscuity toffee, caramel, some dark raisiny fruits, a touch of buttered cracker maybe diacetyl, and some chocolate notes
Taste big biscuity toasty malt with rich toffee, some raisin fruit again and malt derived esters, fair toasty malt with little chocolate and coffee, some baking spices, but of roasty bitterness lingering on the drier soft lager finish but a little sticky, I do get a little more diacetyl buttered cracker
Mouth is med to lighter bod, med to lighter carb, little sticky slick diacetyl
Overall not bad, little to bitter roasty, a bit cross between dunkel and Schwarzbier, but good beer in general
