Collab with Brassneck
This double IPA is a tribute to the historical leader of the style. The Brassneck people are very good people, and a modern IPA is something they do very well, so we decided we’d brew this together. Loaded up very, very heavily with Simcoe, Amarillo, Centennial, and Columbus – all vintage hops, straight classics. Big whoop!

Gather intended as Pliny clone - including can art/design (including cheeky threats on drinking fresh along label edge).
Pours a bright clear orange amber with couple fingers of slightly tawny coloured head - very appealing.
Aromas of pine, resin, some floral notes, and caramel malt - hint of citrus rind and a touch earthy.
Malty on palate - caramel sweetness, floral and grapefruit notes - pine, pine resin with a moderate earthy bitterness.
Medium full mouthfeel with bright carbonation and a boozy bittersweet finish.

This is a Collaboration beer with Brassneck Brewing.
A wonderful big bold double IPA, kind of a California style. Lots of hop flavor and pine resins.
A bit like Pliny the Elder?
