German Lager Heated with Very Hot Granite Rocks
We had our good friends from Brassneck over once again, this time we had a dangerously fun time heating up granite rocks until they were glowing red, and throwing them in the mash tun for some sizzly maillard reactions. Decoct out with your rock out. Sorry… that’s weird. Please enjoy this stone decocted lager beer, made with love, silliness, hot rocks, and very premium ingredients.

Pours a bright cloudy golden yellow with a short lived bubbly white head; appears still after head fades.
Nose of grainy, bready malt, some caramel, notes of lemon, and a brief whiff of pine. Floral notes.
Sweet bready caramel malt on the palate; lemon drop; citrus and floral flavours with a tea like bitterness.
Light medium mouthfeel with a muted carbonation which frankly detracts from the otherwise tasty product. Not at all bad but not what I had hoped for.
