Smaller head but it leaves excellent steaks and spots for lace. Deep brown color where light shines through the edges.
The smell is similar to a dry stout with a strong burnt malt aroma of black patent.
Thinner body as expected but the lower carbonation balances this nicely. The taste still features the black patent bitterness but it plays a lesser role on the tongue. It retains the stout-like flair. A good counterpoint to the spicy pupusas I’m having.

Canned 2021/12/20
Pours a creamy frothy 1/2 finger tan head with fair retention, little lacing, very dark just about black color
Nose is sweet, milk chocolate and a bit of caramel sugar, touch of marshmallow and coffee, sweet cream
Taste is a little sweet but not much thankfully, little sweet cream, milk chocolate, light roasted coffee, touch of spice, mild earthy hop note, light bitterness, little coffee and cream, drier finish, more chocolate lingering
Mouth is med to a bit lighter bod, soft lager but a touch sticky sweet, med prickly carb
Overall not bad, a bit on the sweet side both sugar and flavors, decent lager though
