Crafted in collaboration with Lamplighter Brewing (Cambridge, MA), this hot chocolate-inspired Lager features flavorful roasted malts and cocoa nibs from Taza Chocolate. Fermentation with a Lager yeast makes for smooth drinkability, velvety texture, and layered notes of espresso, bittersweet chocolate, toffee, and plum.

Deep, dark brown—no light passes. It produces a beige head that hugs the edge of the glass. Only a few larger spots on the glass for lace.
Semisweet chocolate with a touch of chalk. Maybe some caramel (malt) and mild burnt toast smell.
Chocolate, more sweet than bitter, up front. Good carbonation too the otherwise rich body, a pleasant departure from the style. The taste darkens after the initial sip becoming more cocoa-like. Again, there’s a faint burnt toast presence. The aftertaste is short but well-blended.
