Caribbean stout brewed with lactose, demerara sugar and a blend of top quality malts. A nod to the sweet and roasty stouts which have been well-loved in the tropics.

Decent starting head for a bar pour. It leaves several medium length beige streaks. The head does settle quickly, though. Deep dark brown where no light passes.
Baker's chocolate aroma with a low chalk level. In the background I get untoasted brown bread.
Less sweet than I expected from the brewer's description. There's very lactose presence. Instead, very chocolatey. There's just a touch of cream in the swallow and aftertaste. The body is also thinner but the carbonation is as expected. This is a relatively predictable dry stout but without any coffee overtones. Easy to drink.
