Dark brown with no light passing through. Thin beige head which settles to rim bubbles and leaves an occasional spot on the glass.
Chocolatey smell, more like a Porter than a Stout smell wise. Light alcohol.
Semi-dry flavor, meaning it leans dry with light residual sweetness. Full bodied with above normal effervescence. There's a bit alcohol warmth. The finish brings forward enough hop spice to create excellent balance in the finish although the aftertaste is strongly malt oriented.
