It's a Blonde Ale. Not my favourite style but solid none the less. I rate beer on the style not what I like or dislike

8oz glass at Beer Revolution YEG Oliver Square. Round two with this still wet behind the ears Southern Alberta brewing concern.

This beer appears a clear, medium golden yellow colour, with a thin cap of wispy and bubbly off-white head, which leaves a bit of streaky coral reef pattern lace around the glass as things quickly progress.

It smells of bready and grainy cereal malt, apple juice, a bit of earthy yeastiness, and very tame leafy, musty, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is gritty and grainy pale malt, some muddled pome fruitiness, dead yeast cells, and more well-understated earthy, leafy, and herbal hoppiness.

The carbonation is fairly benign in its bored-seeming frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and generally smooth, with nothing really existing here that might be a cause for concern. It finishes off-dry, the malt and apple frooty essences pretty much tangoing out the last few steps.

Overall - this turns out to be exactly what it claims to be, i.e. a light blonde ale, if one without an overabundance of any of the titular metrics. Simple, easy to drink, and actually quite refreshing, but more suitable to a sunny patio, rather than this cool, rainy June afternoon.
