16 ounce can.
Pours a clear copper with finger off white head. I did pour the last 3-4 ounces to share and obviously sediment/dregs as this was plenty cloudy...
Aroma gently tropical - I do get some pineapple, bready, caramel, bit earthy.
Taste is more malty than hoppy with bit of pineapple, hint of citrus, touch of spicy earthiness, caramel malt - I would not say significant jalapeño heat, finishing with a pleasant bitter hoppiness.
Creamy warming medium full mouthfeel - again there is minimal spicy heat but a nice underlying sense of the jalapeño giving a touch of warmth. Smooth and very drinkable. This is certainly no Stone Crime or Punishment (which, full disclosure, I like) but was a nice surprise.
Repeat July 12/20. - gather a bit of a tweak as this release 6.5%. Still malty more than hoppy - caramel, bready malt, pineapple hints of the jalapeño but not truly spicy - as warmed more of the jalapeño flavour. Still really like this beer.

A pleasant surprise, the jalepeno works, all flavour with out the hear. Citrus forward with pineapple aroma and mild notes, bakes this a dangerous beer with how crushable it is. I can see why it won an award, but should have got gold@

Appearance - Pours a hazy copper amber with three fingers of frothy white head.
Smell - earthy, leafy, floral and hint of citrus hops, hint of pineapple, jalepeno, bready malts, caramel, and earthy yeast.
Taste - mild earthy. leafy, floral, and hint of citrus hops. The pineapple is non-existent while the jalepeno makes a slight appearance. The bready malts, caramel, and earthy yeast rounds out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky with the slight hint of hops and jalepeno lingering.
Overall - An IPA that had good intentions on paper but didn't quite equate on results. The hops were very mild and the jalepeno was an odd ingredient to add to an IPA. This one needs to go back to the drawing table for readjustments.

8oz glass at Beer Revolution YEG Oliver Square - they must drive this stuff up here themselves, that is, when their social media moron isn't giving the brewery a perfect score on BA. WEAK SAUCE.
This beer appears a hazy, medium golden yellow colour, with a thin cap of wispy and bubbly off-white head, which leaves some decent pockmarked limestone wall lace around the glass as things slowly progress.
It smells of bready and doughy caramel malt, some spicy black peppercorn, muddled domestic citrus peel, and plain earthy, musty, and piney green hop bitters. The taste is gritty and grainy cereal malt, green chilies, orange and red grapefruit citrus flesh, a damp minerality, and more leafy, weedy, and resinous piney hoppiness.
The carbonation is adequate in its palate-assuring frothiness, the body a solid middleweight, and sort of smooth, as the obvious hot pepper addition doesn't do us any favours at this particular juncture. It finishes trending dry, for the just mentioned reason.
Overall - yeah, I've played this game before, and lost every time. There is no god damned reason why you should add hot peppers to an IPA, full stop. My fuses aren't burning, they're merely shot by now.
