A- This one pours a motor oil brownish-black color and has the same thickness....that of motor oil. The head is fairly minimal, that being only maybe a quarter inch of thickness, before settling down into a finely bubbled film of foam over top the liquid, with just a small patch of thick bubbly goodness swirling around the middle. The carbonation is of course much too hard to see what is happening but the lacing would suggest that it is fine and creamy.....the lacing itself looks to be fine and slightly clings to the inside of my glass, showcasing more of an oily film, before that and the slight foam slides back into the liquid. Overall not a bad looking brew, if not anymore than average though....

S- This has all of the aromas of a classic imperial stout type beer, with plenty of chocolate notes, mainly dark and of cocoa powder, some muted coffee bean, freshly ground of course.....bittering burnt chocoalte and/or black malts that provide some dryness on the nostrils, and mixed in with all of this is some savoury fresh maple syrup, alongside some whisky barrel sweetness and char from the woodiness. The finish is Earthy, and just contains a very slight hop finish that makes it clean and just slightly leafy, or of damp soil.

T- The flavours follow suit to the aromas well, with mostly the same, with more of the same creamy dark chocolate, freshly ground black coffee bean, dark roast of course, and bittering malt profile being the dominant flavours here. The alcohol is a bit spicy and stings the palate in very small moments, but the Bourbon, the wood char and the maple sweetness all make themselves known, however, I wouldn't say that it is artificial or anything, but rather for a sweet stout it tastes very nice and un-cloying. Has an overall taste of slightly un-sweet pancake syrup.

M/O- Medium-full bodied and with an assumed creamy carbonation that doesn't disappoint, this has the mouthfeel that I look for in a stout! The drinkability is good, but if I had a couple pints of this, it would become too rich on the palate, and the alcohol would likely take over....but....for a single pint, this is quite nice and enjoyable! Would pair well with a dessert or I could even see this as an ingredient in a steak marinade.....I'd have this again for sure!
