Notes: Imperial Porter at 8.3% ABV with Jalapeño peppers.
Look: Black with ruby and mahogany highlights when held to the light. The head is a short cap of creamy khaki colored foam. Poor head retention but great lacing.
Smell: Orchard fruit with little in the way of dark malts.
Taste: Notes of caramel, dark caramel, apple, pear, dark chocolate, mildly pepper, and a soft roastiness. It's more fruity than roasty, and more caramelish than chocolatey. It's spicy, sticking on the lips and tongue, but not burning, and peppery but not clearly "Jalapeño". It's moderately bitter and it finishes dry with some lingering heat and spice.
Feel: Medium bodied and smooth with a moderate carbonation but also with some heat that's probably both from the peppers and the alcohol.
Overall: Very nice. It's interesting and unusual.

The Jalapeno peppers are not really present in the taste. Nice roastiness. Good drinkability. The mouthfeel is smooth. Some caramel notes are present too
