Crowler into pint glass. Pours a clear amber with a fairly coarse off-white heaqd. Initial impression is citrus, grapefruit, pine resin, and mango, with underlying caramel malts. Mouthfeel is just about right for a DIPA: slightly sticky, but very moderate carbonation. Finish is sweet with an odd lingering dankness.
My first from Slate Farm. I'm moderately impressed, but they are an extra 20 minutes from my favorite micro-brewery and I'm not sure it's worth the investment of time.
