Growler into pint glass. Pours an inky black with a nice-looking but brief tan head. Initial impression is dark chocolate, burnt malts, and heat. The peppers tend to dominate things after the first sip. Mouthfeel could be a little heavier for my tastes, although I think it's on point for the style. Finish is, in a word, peppery. Overall, I think they went a bit overboard on the heat. It's drinkable, but gets old in a hurry.
