The culmination of our first year's work honing our New England IPA craft. We think it's our best yet. Stupid amounts of Galaxy, Citra, Mosaic and Vic Secret.

A simple pour emptied the entire contents of a pint can into a clear glass liter mug. A nice white head was resultant. The liquid is opaquely dirty blond, almost murky in its display. For the nose, there's some sharp hops and an almost equal amount of bready starches. From the onset, the mouthfeel is soft and supple. The taste description is a little more complicated. There is a bready sweetness, but it gets overpowered by the alcohol bite. This is way too sweet for an Imperial IPA. Even the hop bite, the closest reference would be piney, gets lost by the alcohol bite. The sustaining head and significant glass lacing bear witness to the quality of the ingredients within and remarkable mouthfeel. But, the likely predominantly oat backbone just can't bring enough flavor to answer the hop and high alcohol astringency here. If you want a quick beer buzz, this will work. If you're looking for an Imperial IPA that tastes good, go elsewhere.
