Poured from a 12oz can into pint glass in April 2023. I drank this less than 1 week after purchasing at their North Wales brewpub.
Appearance: Dark red/amber with 2-finger medium tan/brown head. The head had small/fine bubbles, and lasts for only a few minutes and ended with a thin head. There is very little lacing sticking to the glass.
Smell: Strong aroma of malt as expected. Also, some orange and cinnamon. Overall, the malt and orange dominate the others.
Taste: A sweet bock from the roasted malts and orange flavors. There is very little hop bitterness. There is a moderate alcohol presence, which matches the 5.5% on the label.
Mouth-feel: Light body, with a smooth and creamy body. Sweeter than many other bocks.
This is an interesting Winter Lager, and it has a variety of flavors. The orange is a bit dominating and I would prefer more cinnamon or malt or spices.
