A full bodied and thoroughly hopped India Pale Ale, brewed with a hearty mix of malted oats and wheat. Hopped in the kettle and in the fermenter with a juicy blend of El Dorado, Azacca, and Wakatu. Notes of key lime, sugar cookies, guava, and peach rings.

Well Crafted Beer Company "Wakado"
on tap at the brewery on 19 January 2019
Notes: Brewed with Wakatu, Azacca, and El Dorado hops at 6.7% abv. Given the cost of these hops I'm surprised the beer didn't cost more, although I will say that I could have lived with it if they'd used more ;) Hazy golden body beneath a finger-thick head of white foam that holds well and leaves some nice lacing behind. Full enough aroma for an IPA but not bold. It's enticing and welcoming but not "wow". The flavor delivers more hops, and if you delve deep enough you can find peach, flowers, lime, mango, pear/apple, and pine. The malt simply acts as a base. Firmly to solidly bitter, and dry in the finish - a solid IPA. If this was the only beer that I'd tried from Well Crafted I'd probably already have had a good impression of what they can do.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
