A quaffable Cream Ale, brewed with German Pilsner malt, flaked corn, and over 30lbs of Frosted Flakes. This crisp, refreshing beer has notes of doughy sugar cookies, a touch of noble hops, and a fully balanced breakfast.

Poured into a wide mouth grip shaped goblet: color is straw gold, head is off white with fine bubbles and presents one finger thick, head dissipates to thin solid top, ring along glass sides.

Smell is thin, light mostly biscuit, very light earthy hops.

Taste is neutral flavor, nothing dominant some biscuit, toast, earth and herbal hops, limited adjunct, a little sharp.

Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, low/moderate sweetness, moderate bitterness.

Overall pretty neutral flavor with light malt, hint of adjunct, light sweetness, a bit crisp and bitter.

Pours a very pale straw color with a half finger of head. The nose has notes of grain and cardboard. The flavor is also grainy with an odd sweet note near the finish.

For many, there's not a great difference separating a cream ale from an ordinary adjunct lager. Few are the beer lovers that would list them as their favorite style. Emptying the contents of a pint can of this one into a clear glass liter mug begins to explain that opinion. It looks no better than a mass produced commercial lager. A short-lived just-off-white head sat on top of a nearly clear and bright amber liquid. It smells like an American lager that costs about $18 a case. There is a little more silky-smooth body than those, but not much more to taste. The hops are more earthy than biting. Accumulatively, the use of corn becomes apparent in its taste. Actually, it adds a nice taste layer. This is a pleasant and by comparison with everything else out there, light beer that is good enough to be consumed in vast quantities at one sitting. Yes, it's sweet, but not too. It does capture a bit of what it intends. Again, few serious beer lovers are going to claim this as their favorite style of beer. But, for what this is, why not accept it?

12 oz can poured into a shaker pint glass. Look is straw colored with a light haze. "Wet" white head fell off quickly to a collar. Smell is delicate malt and some slightly fruity hops. Taste starts sweet and grainy with a nod to breakfast cereal. A light bitterness hits in the middle and finishes with some light grass and more grain that extends into the aftertaste. Feel is light bodied, well carbonated. Overall, this is a decent beer. Not as clean as I'd like with that grainy, breakfast cereal aftertaste lingering for a while.
