On tap at De Sluyswacht in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
This one pours a dark-ish orange/yellow, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells generically sweet, with some honey and biscuit notes.
This is solid because I’m drinking it overlooking the canals in Amsterdam, but the beer itself is fairly pedestrian. It’s a little sweet, with very little bitterness to balance it. There’s orange jam, honey, and biscuity notes.
This is lighter bodied, pretty drinkable, with a crisp enough finish.
This was an enjoyable draft pour but not 100% because of the beer itself.

Look: golden yellow, towering, foamy head.
Smell: Malty sweetness, some herbal hops, a bit fruity.
Taste: smooth, malty (biscuit-like, I'd say, on the sweetish-side without being cloying), with some grassy character from the hops. Not particularly strong, but well balanced. Finish is on the dry side.
Feel: Medium bodied with dry finish, sparkling.
Overall: a very enjoyable commercial beer. If you happen to be around the Lowlands on springtime, it won't disappoint.

On the creamy side compared to what I expected. Wonderful flavor, slightest alcohol bite.

A - Streaming golden amber body with shaving foam like head that has excellent retention.
S - Sweet sugar like malt some mild alcohol and light hop note to finish the whole thing off. Decent but nothing special.
T - Lovely and crisp and a massive improvement on the smell. There is great malt sweetness perfectly cut by fresh bitter hop. Delicious.
MF - Great tingle, boozy and fresh with nice body.
O - Highly drinkable this is a wonderful little beer. I am a fan of Hertog Jan and this beer is another fine addition to a great line up.
