On tap at Area 4 (Cambridge, MA), poured into a 16 oz beer glass. Deep, clear medium brown with a nice forth of tan foam. Aromas of toasted malt, caramel, earthy and resinous hops. Flavor follows with solid malt body, toasted bread to toffee, as well slight fruit and dry herbal, earthy hops. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A nicely balanced, flavorful but sessionable ale.
