Looks more like an Amber Ale than an East Coast; no haze, little hop aroma. Taste features some mild hop along with pleasant malt but nothing like the EIPAs I've had on my trips through Maine, Mass & Vermont. Granted, this upstart doesn't claim to be Treehouse & it's a pleasant enough beer to drink with little to no astringent bitterness, but my expectations when reading East Coast IPA are rather elevated.
