Served from the nitro can in a Lagunitas mason jar.
I love the mellifluence of this beer's name (though "Shogo" might have reached nirvana). It pours a partly cloudy sunset auburn topped by a finger of light taupe foam. The nose comprises mild coffee, pound cake, and a pinch of cocoa powder. The taste brings in more of the same, the entire mixture sort of feeling muted thanks to the nitrogenation (I think I've seen plenty of people claim this stuff was flat, which is just weird). The body is a lithe medium, with a pleasant nitrogenation and a subsequently smooth feel. Overall, a nice white-ish stout, though I'm not sure about the nitro decision, as it sorta-kinda tones everything down and slightly waters them down as well. Otherwise, not bad.
