A signature IPA for WHBBC. Sunset in color, full bodied and generously hopped with Simcoe, Amarillo, Eukanot and El Dorado hops. This blend will hit your taste buds like a storm making landfall. Citrus, tropical fruit, melon and stone fruit notes are all to be found. Each sip will be a whirlwind.

Poured from 12 ounce can purchased at Greenport, Long Island IGA Grocery Store. Nice dark amber color. Nice lacing. Great taste. Great balance of hops and malt. Not too hoppy, fruity, or malty. Overall excellent IPA. 7% ABV is perfect. I have found all the Westhampton Beach Beers are very good. I’m sure some may think that a 4.75 rating is too high - but for me this IPA is the epitome of what an IPA should be.

I came home for the holidays and tried to help out my folks today, the day after Thanksgiving, by recycling all the beer cams from the holiday. I had a healthy redemption total, so I cashed it in for this sixer I never saw before. This is a standard issue modern IPA, with medium bitterness, some juicy elements, and the herbal and medicinal notes that turn resinous in the finish. Solid effort, but not game changing.

Tasted poured from a can in May, 2023 (redesigned solid green can). This is a fine West Coast IPA that is very drinkable. The flavors are well balanced and delicate. The beer goes down very smoothly. The noted 105 IBUs are much higher than I would estimate. There is a lasting hop aftertaste with the flavor balanced with just enough bitterness.

Much better than I expected, as this had a lot of citrus flavors with a malty balance, nice carbonation and a refreshing feel. Had a few and they went down easy.

Westhampton Beach Hurricane IPA pours a mostly clear amber, with a white head. The nose is sharp, but not overwhelming. The flavor is an odd mix of hoppy, sweet, and an off note. I've seen this described as semisweet and I don't know if that's a good description. It almost tastes like this was a solid IPA that got skunked.

In tap at the brewery. Pours deep amber with a thin white head that lasts. Aroma is mild fruity. Taste is tropical fruit and hop bitterness. Feel is good, nice and coating. Overall it's a solid IPA.

Decanted from a 12 oz (355 ml) can into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint glass; no production information.
A: Pours a hazy, dark amber color with a one to two finger, caramelized marshmallow head, rim retention and soapy lacing.
S: Aromas of pink > white grapefruit, navel orange, caramel, and pint predominate, but light. A grassy note.
T: More semisweet than semidry. Palate largely follows the nose, a nice melange with the caramel malt backbone much more evident. Light, refreshing bitterness.
M: Light to medium bodied with a moderate effervescence.
O: A very respectable, enjoyable, relatively light bodied IPA. I could see this being crushable and sharing it with guests.
