Picked this up at Bullseye in Smithtown for my brother, who is always up for a new pumpkin ale. A little understated, but des all the requisite things in the nose. Body is lighter than some pumpkins but this is clean bodied, and despite only moderate flavor, very drinkable. I like big flavors in pumpkins sometimes, but this one does the lighter version pretty well. A sessionable pumpkin? Anyway, not bad for the style.

A: The beer is slightly hazy coppery amber in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that left a narrow collar around the edge and a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of ginger are present in the nose along with notes of pumpkins and other pumpkin spices.
T: The taste follows the smell and isn't much stronger compared to the aromas.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The pumpkiny aromas and flavors in this beer seem to be a bit muted compared to others in the style.

I like supporting local breweries, and I'm sure that this one has a few good beers going on.
This is bad though.
Not only as a pumpkin beer. I think I've only had a beer that tastes this bitter yet bland once before.
I feel bad that I left it as the last beer I drank tonight, literally leaving a bad taste in my mouth.
I may be mistaken about my expectations because it's nothing similar to the style.

Maybe I got a bad batch, but this is just unpleasant to drink.
Unfortunately I may shy away from any other beers I see from this brewery.
I could swear I've tasted something like this before, but I didn't enjoy it.
