A very solid Imperial Stout. This beer is very dark, pitch black, and to my palate has a bit of a smoky taste. My drinking companion did not pick up on that and found it smoother. In any case, the smoke is not overwhelming, however, and the beer is quite well-balanced. I have met many Imperial Stouts I do not like, even as a fan of dark beers, but this is very enjoyable.
