this is a style i have been enjoying more and more lately, and this is a pretty nice example of it. a little conservative on the hop side, but i love mexican lager yeast in this light malt context, and i think overall this is really flavorful and drinkable, even without a lot of hop character to it. its clean and dry and summery for sure, takes the place of a traditional pils type on their menu, and i think that makes sense in here, especially with the interesting food, this yeast loves that sort of thing, at least on my tongue. crisp and crackery, a lime and lemongrass note, herbaceous almost more from yeast than hops, maybe a thread of white wheat in here too, bright lager character, excellent carbonation and bone dry, with a sparkling effect on the palate that is both refreshing and kind of addicting. if i didnt want to try so many beers on their list, i could have made an afternoon of this one, and likely will next time. fun and fresh, cool that they have a lager like this already so dialed in. this is really pretty good!
