the weakest of the beers i had in here, this one seems a little forced, and the hops dont have the same brightness and freshness that they do in their regular ipa, which i thought was their very best beer. this one has some leftover sugar in it, not too much, but enough to cut into the crispness and leafy freshness of the hops. its nice looking beer, lightly burnt orange in color, really active, and with a super thick white head on it. there is a little chemical thing to me in the yeast or fermentation profile, too warm or too stressed or something, its minor and short lived in the flavor, but its there. pineapple and grapefruit notes to the hops for me, bitter but balanced by some sturdy malts, and really very flavorful. i think this will get better in future batches, a couple of tweaks and its right there. this is a really neat place and seems to be off to a great start, i think the beers are ahead of the curve already, this was really the only one that didnt taste all the way dialed in to me, but its not way off.
