The End of Trail Pale Ale is our rotating hop series beer. In this edition we used local fresh Cascade hops that were picked the day before. Cascade is the quintessential American Hop with its bright grapefruit/citrus flavours. The fresh hop aspect adds another layer of complexity by imparting a herbal or green flavour profile.

Pours a clear orangey golden colour with two fingers of creamy verging to khaki coloured head.
Hops hit the nose with a slightly spicy citrus aroma - grapefruit peel, a touch of pine and an earthy floral note on a grainy cereal malt base.
Tastes of the grainy cereal almost a touch of toffee like malt, but the fresh hops pop with grapefruit, grapefruit pith, a mildly piney flavour and bright earthy bitterness with floral sweetness.
Medium mouthfeel with brisk prickly carbonation and a smooth bittersweet finish. Excellent.
