The End of Trail Pale Ale is our rotating hop series beer. This edition uses an experimental hop called HBC 1019. This hop offers a delightful blend of citrus, tropical, and stone fruits, creating an inviting flavour profile. With hints of coconut, oranges, caramelized bananas, and honeydew melon, it evokes the essence of dark rum and daiquiris.

Single can from Liquor On McLeod - no canned on date.
On opening can a frothy tawny head erupts - pours a bronze amber colour - initially clear but then at end a bit cloudy - massive 4 fingers of head.
The nose has notes of citrus but there is a bit of acetone and some herbal aroma - as warmed peach and hints of tea.
Tastes of burnt orange - again a bit of acetone “sweetness” which turns to peach with bitter herbal tea notes - not horrible but a strange combination (and I said acetone, so not great).
Medium mouthfeel with vigorous carbonation and a lasting unsweetened peach iced tea and herbal bitterness.
Have enjoyed prior iterations of End of Trail - not sure if I got a bad can or the hop simply is not for me.
