Pours a beautiful deep brownish ruby with a tan head that dissipates into a ring around the glass. The smell has a deep roasted smell very similar to french roast coffee. It also has subtle hints of dark chocolate and a very subtle toffee sweetness. The taste has the big roasty presence that fades into a pleasant dark chocolate semi bitter finish. It goes down smoothly, but in comparison to a Guinness, not as easily. It's got a thinner mouth feel with no detectable alcoholic kick. Overall very very good if you like a nice roasty stout or french roast coffee.
