Canned on 6/30/21. Triple IPA with Citra, Mosaic, and Motueka. These guys are supposed to be making some of the best hops in Michigan, so we’ll see what this one brings.
Pours a full on hazy, rich orange color. 1.5 fingers of an off-white, creamy head that dissipates slowly and leaves sticky lacing behind.
Aroma is loads of dank blueberry, tangerine, lime zest, honeydew melon, grapefruit, lemongrass, cannabis, pine resin. Little underlying bread and sugary sweetness from the malt.
Taste is blueberry jam, blueberry skin, “diesely” cannabis, tangerine, key lime, lime zest, ruby red grapefruit, honeydew melon, orange peel, lemongrass, big pine resin. Juicy, but has a nice dry and bitter finish.
High medium to low full body. Soft, pillowy, little sticky, little chalky. Hop resins coat the palate.
An outstanding TIPA. Dangerously smooth for 9.75% abv and never gets that sweet at all. Complex hop profile too. I’d place this right up there with the Hop Butcher’s, Other Half’s, and EQ’s of the TIPA world.
