Our friends from Brothership Brewing visited us this past August to brew two batches of a robust double mash stout. One batch went into barrels until next year (or when we feel it’s ready); the other batch was conditioned on toasted coconut, peanut butter and hazelnut for these bottles. We hope you enjoy it.

This one pours a very syrupy dark black color, with no head or lacing.
This smells like coconut coffee creamer, half and half, artificial peanut butter, and hot fudge.
This is way too sweet and out of balanced, it just feels like a melted milkshake essentially. The lack of carbonation does not help, as it just feels underattenuated and unfinished here - just way too sweet. There's nothing to balance the lackadaisical adjunct additions here - I have no idea what the base stout tastes like, but I assume it's also very sweet.
This is thick, syrupy, too chewy, and not all that drinkability, due to the intense cloying aspect, and the lack of carbonation.
Peanut butter, coconut, and vanilla certainly seems like it should make for a good pastry stout, but this is just unfortunately a mess.
