Blend of double mash stouts aged in small format and Weller bourbon barrels for over a year. We then conditioned this blend on a prudent amount of scraped Mexican vanilla beans to accompany and accentuate the vanilla notes that were being expressed by the oak.

A - Pours a deep dark brown with an extremely thin tan head.
S - Aroma is vanilla, chocolate, and heavy barrel.
T - The taste is dark chocolate, vanilla, caramel and a heavy dose of barrel warmth.
M - Full body with medium/low carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel with a slick drying finish.
O - Nice BBA stout. Tons of barrel.

The stout was smooth to drink and very flavorful. The amount of vanilla was perfect. There was no harshness, despite the high ABV. However, it would be more enjoyable if it were less sweet. It is almost, but not quite, cloying.
