The late, great actor Bob McDuff Wilson once sent us a personalized inspirational message. In the message, he used a turn of phrase we had never heard before (nor can we find any record of ever being used)—but once we heard it, we knew we needed to make a beer in tribute: RUN OUT THE BUFFALOES.
So, a little over a year ago we took a stout blend that excited us and then selected a Buffalo Trace bourbon barrel to house it. The aging added wonderful layers of chocolate, spirit, oak and char to the base, resulting in a clean—yet nuanced—full-bodied sipper that didn’t need anything else. We hope you enjoy it.
