Barleywine aged for 18 months in a select Heaven Hill bourbon barrels. Notes of spirited oak and chocolate from the barrel swirl with rich presence of fig, candied-raisin and hints of caramel in the base.

A - Dark raison colored pour with light lacing.
S - Toasted caramel toffee, brown sugar, Bourbon, and booze-soaked raison.
T - Toasted caramel / toffee, raison, some dark fruit, brown sugar, all drenched in a Bourbon coating.
M - Big viscous, silky, light syrupy texture that coats the lips with sticky sugar and warms the back of the throat.
O - A pretty fantastic beer, IMO.

T - The taste is raisins, figs, toffee, brown sugar, vanilla, oak and a nice bourbon warmth in the finish.
M - Full bodied with low carbonation. Syrupy mouthfeel with a slick drying finish.
O - Top notch. Wax Wings doesn’t miss on barleywines.
