A long awaited barrel-aged iteration from the Boar Sauce line of beers. We couldn’t be more excited to share this with you!
We chose a blend of 10 year Elijah Craig and Willett Family Estate barrels to play off the additions of coconut (both raw and toasted), Madagascar vanilla beans and Greenglass coffee. Decadent and smooth, balanced nicely by the barrel heat and subtle chocolate roast from the coffee.

A - Pours a deep dark brown with a thin tan head. The head fades extremely fast leaving some light oily lacing.
S - Aroma is coconut, chocolate, vanilla and a decent amount of barrel.
T - The taste is milk chocolate, coconut, vanilla and caramel. The barrel is present, but very light on the back end.
M - Full body with low carbonation. Syrupy mouthfeel with a slick dry finish.
O - Really well done. Rich and decadent without being cloying.

poured from a 500mL bottle into a SP BBT21 lightbulb snifter. pours a light brown but gathers in the glass dark brown with lighter, almost see-through, brown edges and a thin layer of tan fizzling foam. sweet coconut and vanilla on the nose as well as muted barrel. taste follows with more chocolate to back up the vanilla and coconut sweetness with the barrel cutting through on the finish. i get no coffee on the smell or taste. thick, full, sticky mouthfeel. definitely better as it warms up but a tad too sweet, not enough barrel and no coffee. still, a pretty good coconut and vanilla stout.
