Double barrel-aged barleywine aged in a Buffalo Trace bourbon barrel for one year, then transferred into a maple extract barrel that previously held bourbon. Wonderful maple notes on the nose with fig, Werther's candy and fudge. Caramel and maple notes really shine with hints of light coffee and fruit leather.

A - Pours a deep dark brown with a lively tan head. The head fades extremely quickly leaving some oily lacing.
S - Aroma is dark chocolate, plums, oak and leather,
T - The taste is plums, dark chocolate, vanilla, maple, dark cherries, oak and a nice bourbon warmth.
M - Full body with low carbonation. Syrupy mouthfeel with a slick drying finish.
O - Really well done.
