Inspired by one of our favorite cocktails, the Old Fashioned- this Barleywine was aged in a Wild Turkey bourbon barrel for 1 year before finishing in an Orange Bitters barrel (ex Four Roses Bourbon) for 4 additional months. The nose is orange zest and caramel fudge. In sampling, we tasted fresh orange, toffee, chocolate and baking spice. Each barrel shines through the rich base beer in a way that brings to life the spirit of our favorite cocktail.
