Apparently a challenge to the dominance of Red’s Rye from Founders, who will no longer sell that except on tap.

A - Pours a deep amber with a large fluffy off white head. Heavy amount of soapy lacing.
S - Aroma is caramel malts and rye.
T - The taste is caramel malts, toasted white bread, orange, spicy rye and earthy hops.
M - Medium body with medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel with a nice soft finish.
O - Solid old school Rye IPA.

I’m a big fan of Red’s Rye so this was a no brainer for me to pick up.
The pour is reminiscent of the red Baltic amber I have seen in the past. Warm red tones and a massive cream colored head that took time dissipating.
The taste, my I missed this bite. Almost sharper than Red’s Rye and the malts balance that bite nicely.
The feel is ideal for the style (and the day) just enough body to carry all the flavors.
OA, if this holds up in cans better than Red’s Rye, it’s going to be a great contender.
