Purchased at the brewery. Traditional, spot-on weizenbock dunkel, probably the best I've had in America. This brewery really nails it! A bit higher EtOH at 8.8% but very well-balanced. Traditional dark roasted malts, banana, cloves. Really no flaws or inconsistencies. True to type and an incredibly solid beer.

Appearance: poured a medium brown color with a slight beige head.
Smell: lots of toffee with notes of cocoa, cloves, and other spices. Very malt forward, its beady and sweet.
Taste: very sweet rich malt and bready. Its just like the smell, it has tons of toffee. It has a festive spiciness with mostly cloves; also hints of cocoa.
Mouthfeel: perfect. medium body, smooth. absolutely no alcohol burn.
Overall: I have not tried too many weizenbock's but wow this is excellent. Heavy on the toffee and cloves. A great beer for a festive winter.
